What Makes a Lake? by Another Earth

I’m honoured to share that I’m apart of this amazing book designed and conceived by the lovely folks at Another Earth.

What Makes a Lake? Tracing Movement brings together the work of more than 80 artists to create a portrait of Earth’s lakes, rivers, and oceans. This collection of images and text offers an intimate experience of places that we hope create a new connection to and commitment to caring for our most vulnerable ecosystems.

Penumbra Foundation's Risograph Publication Residency

I’m excited to announce that I was selected for the 2023 EUREKA! / Penumbra Foundation Risograph Publication Residency! For the residency, I will be making a risograph printed book at Penumbra and EUREKA! facilities that will be launched this coming fall.

Feminist Photography Network's Identity, Connection, & Place

For the past five years, I’ve had the pleasure of being in an online residency hosted by the Feminist Photography Network. Culminating in the group’s collective work, co-organizers Jennifer Long and Clare Samuel created an online exhibition showcasing work by sixteen artists from Canada and the UK who participated in the online peer-to-peer residencies. Identity, Connection and Place were themes weaving through these photographers’ work and the experience of the residency itself. In addition, the exhibition includes essays where writers reflect on the works made during the Feminist Photography Network residency.

PhotoEd Magazine Fall 2022

My work from Landscapes of Resistance is on the cover of the Photography + Activism issue (Fall 2022) of PhotoEd Magazine! This issue was curated by Laurence Butet-Roch, and I also had the pleasure of having a lively and considered conversation about the nature of documentary activism with Jackie Dives.

My work from the Feminist Photography Network’s online residency is now in the book, “Becoming Sisters; Women Photography Collectives & Organizations” edited by Aldeide Delgado and Ana Clara Silva and published by the Women Photographers International Archive (WOPHA).

2020 John Hartman Award

I’m excited to announce that I am the 2020 recipient of the John Hartman Award from the MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie, Ontario.

The John Hartman Award is made possible with the generous support of MacLaren patron and regional artist John Hartman. This annual award of $ 4,000 is granted to an emerging artist who is producing strong work and who could truly benefit by more time in the studio for research, experimentation and the development of new work.
